It's been an honor to be tasked by Chef Sarah Simmons as "chief artist" for City Grit, a unique Nolita culinary salon. The space, part of an old schoolhouse, is shared by day with the WRK Design antiques showroom -- and the plentiful curiosities often serve to complement the menu and theme or guest chef in inspiring my freehanded chalkboard introduction to the night's proceedings!
